Head of International Rights
Kristina heads up the International Rights arm of the Darley Anderson Children’s Book Agency, working with both authors and illustrators to secure translation rights deals and illustration projects in global markets.
After joining the Darley Anderson Agency in 2015, Kristina worked for seven years in its world-renowned rights team, managing the international careers of multi-million-copy bestselling authors and brands across the adults and children’s lists. In 2022, the rapidly growing success of DACBA gave her the opportunity to exploit her affinity and enthusiasm for Children’s and YA and step up as their exclusive Rights Manager in all markets.
Known for her passionate, story-led pitches, which often come with a side of heavy gesticulation, Kristina’s work ‘happy place’ is at trade book fairs in back to back meetings, showcasing clients to her brilliant international colleagues and partners. But there’s nothing that quite beats the fluttering excitement of a deal offer landing in her inbox, it never gets old.
She doesn’t accept submissions but dreams of one day representing the rights for a Gen Z version of Holes by Louis Sachar, a dark middle-grade pirate-y adventure mystery to rival Treasure Island and anything that could be compared to a Point Horror novel.
