Waterstones Children's Prize shortlisting for Efua Traoré

Children of the Quicksands, the debut novel by Efua Traoré, has been shortlisted for this year's Waterstones Children's Prize. The Prize is one of the most prestigious book awards in the calendar, with the shortlist decided by booksellers. The winner will be announced in a ceremony in March, with each category winner receiving £2,000 and the overall Children's Book of the Year winner being awarded an additional £3,000.
