Olivia honed her reading interests at a young age, bossily giving her family library fines from her well-ordered bookcase. After years of English teaching, she decided it was about time she wrote a book of her own.
She now works freelance as an author, tutor and mentor for students with under-resourced backgrounds. She co-runs writing retreats under the name of Inkwell and half-runs marathons, believing that the discipline of long-distance running is not so different from writing a novel.
Olivia lives in the Midlands with regular visits to West Wales for coastal binge-writing sessions. She has two grown-up sons and an imaginary dog.
Olivia’s third YA book is being published in November 2024.
