Ken Wilson-Max

Ken Wilson-Max is an award-winning author, illustrator, and children’s books publisher. He was born in Zimbabwe, lives in London and has over 75 books published in many languages worldwide.

He is the owner of independent children’s publishing company called Alanna Max, and the publisher of the first children’s imprint for Harper Collins Children’s Books called Kumusha Books.

Ken also advocates for a more inclusive, representative publishing industry, and mentors artists and writers from around the world. He is patron of the Jericho Prize, the first prize for Black and Asian authors & illustrators in the UK, as well a patron of the The CLPE and has been included in the list of 150 Black authors in the UK, and the directory ‘Who’s Who of African American Literature’ in the US.
