Emily Randall-Jones

Emily is the author of haunting folk horror for middle grade readers. Her first book The Witchstone Ghosts was long-listed for the 2024 Branford Boase award and named as the Times Children’s Book of the Week. ‘Quick and punchy, with plot twists a-plenty, this is an ideal read for young, independent readers.’ Her second book, The Scream of the Whistle was nominated for the 2026 Carnegie Medal and named as one of The Telegraph’s Best New Children’s Books. ‘Any child who has raced through Roald Dahl’s The Witches… will tell you that young readers have a healthy appetite for the macabre.
