Alison (Ali) Stegert writes playful picture books and thrilling middle grade adventures. After a rewarding career as a school counsellor, she now focuses on kidlit creation. Ali moonlights as a literary presenter, an artist, and a creativity coach, but mentoring young writers is by far her favourite side-hustle.
When she isn’t reading, researching, or writing, she’s probably being walked by her dogs on a long stretch of Australian beach.
Alison’s titles include Her Majesty’s League of Remarkable Young Ladies (2023), which won the Times | Chicken House | IET 150 Prize in 2021, and the picture book Boogie Woogie Bird (2022, illustrated by Sandra Severgnini).
