Emma McCann lives in Brighton and works from her home studio where her ideas are scribbled, inked, painted, scanned and Wacomed into existence.
Whilst studying illustration at Kingston University, Emma happened to find herself being nabbed by a publisher at her degree show in 2003. In June 2005 her second book, Munch, was long-listed for the Kate Greenaway medal.
Emma currently lives a dual life. By day, she is a mild mannered illustrator, but by night she becomes the masked crime-fighter and master cake-baker “Red Velvet”.
